Review: These are indeed high waisted. You can't always tell what the fabric is going to be (even though they tell your the constituents) and I was concerned it was going to be itchy. But no fear, it is a soft matte cotton AND it has a cotton gusset. Excellent price, I'm happy with the double stitched seams. It's soft and loose enough to sleep in
