Review: Buying yarn online can be hit or miss. This yarn has both. Hit = absolutely gorgeous colour and feel, Miss = nothing on the label with regards to care instructions, metres per ball, recommended hook or needle size or what ply the yarn actually is, or what the actual yarn is. Yes the little label says it’s cashmere, but it doesn’t say the percentage. Yes the percentage says it on the listing, but I would’ve thought it would be on the label as well. I was guided by reviews of the yarn here as that’s all I had. It’s important to know ALL the details of the yarn and these should be on the label. Having said that, I would say that this yarn would be a 2ply-3ply. It’s quite thin but feels lovely to crochet with. I’m making a baby shawl using a 2.75mm Tulip Etimo Red hook. The yarns glides well through the hook, no splitting. This hook size is what works best for me. I don’t like using bigger hooks on such delicate yarn. I’m confident I’ll still get the drape I’m looking for.
