Review: Soft, stretchy, and beautifully finished—exactly what you want from FOE. The center fold guides placement, making it effortless to bind edges on bralettes, leotards, swim coverups, and baby headbands. The elastic recovery is smooth and springy; it snaps back without waving, even after multiple stretches, and lies flat against skin with no scratchy feel. I’ve sewn it with a narrow zigzag and also a three-step zigzag—both look tidy. Set differential feed slightly above 1 on knits and the edge stays perfectly flat. For no-sew projects, a thin line of fabric glue inside the fold keeps it secure. Ends heat-seal neatly with a lighter to prevent fray, or overlap 1–1.5 cm and zigzag to make loops and belts. The matte sheen reads professional, not shiny, and the black dye didn’t bleed in cold washes. It’s also great for ponytail ties that don’t crease hair and for elastic loops on journal closures or masks. Tip: stretch just 10–15% when binding curves for a smooth contour, and press with a warm
